We’ve got some good news to share.
GTH Construction has been appointed to the University of Oxford’s Oxford Inspire Framework for Construction Services, securing a place on Lot 1 for projects valued between £500,000 and £15 million.
GTH is one of six contractors selected for Lot 1 following the University’s procurement process.
The framework was introduced in October 2026 and will be one of the ways the University procures and manages construction work across its estate over the coming years.
For GTH, the appointment gives us the opportunity to be involved in future projects covering a wide range of work. Projects delivered through the framework could include refurbishment and infrastructure improvements, as well as academic, research and operational facilities.
There is a slightly different approach behind Oxford Inspire too.
Contractors are intended to become involved earlier in the development of projects, working alongside the University and the wider project team rather than simply coming in at a later stage.
That means more opportunity to discuss how a project should be approached, look at potential issues before work begins and share knowledge between everyone involved.
The University has also put collaboration, continuous improvement and digital working at the centre of the framework.
Securing a place on Lot 1 is an important result for GTH and one that the team is understandably pleased with.
It also puts us alongside a small group of contractors appointed to the framework, which will support the University’s plans for its estate, including renewal, expansion and decarbonisation work.
Of course, being appointed to a framework is the start of the process rather than the end of it. What it gives GTH is the opportunity to participate and potentially work on projects delivered through Oxford Inspire in the years ahead.
This achievement reflects the hard work, collaboration and commitment of the entire GTH team over the past year. We are grateful for the contribution made by everyone involved and proud of what has been accomplished together.
We would also like to thank the University of Oxford for the opportunity to be part of the Oxford Inspire Framework. We’re genuinely excited about what will come next and are looking forward to getting started.
